Signal makes it easy to test the effectiveness of your call-to-action and advertising investments with the power of Alias Keywords. An Alias Keyword is an alternative keyword people can use to enter lists and promotions, solely for the purpose of tracking (and sometimes for misspellings).
Creating Alias Keywords
When you’ve create a list with a main keyword, you can add Alias Keywords to use for different advertisements on the list configuration page, under Text Message Channel. It can be spotted on the bottom left corner of this page.
Once you’ve added an Alias Keyword, or set of alias keywords, you can use these different keywords in different regions, different publications, or different ads and track their success with bringing you subscribers.
Tracking Alias Keywords
To see progress, visit the Subscribers Tab and you can see how Subscribers joined via the different mediums.
If you click on the “chart opt-ins by keyword” hyperlink, you can actually see a pie chart of each Alias Keyword’s contribution.
